Over the years, she owned and meticulously maintained 15 Jaguars, fine-tuning each to perfection.
Her expertise extended beyond the racetrack. In an era when women were rarely recognized as serious automotive professionals, Sybil built a thriving business tuning, repairing, and selling Jaguars. Her reputation for precision and mechanical brilliance earned her loyal clients across New Zealand, with many trusting only her to service their vehicles. By 1957, she had established a dedicated Jaguar garage in Wellington, solidifying her status as one of the most respected Jaguar specialists of her time.

Sybil’s contributions to the automotive world did not go unnoticed. In 2024, the Jaguar Heritage Trust honored her in the Women Who Made Their Marque exhibition, recognizing her lasting influence on the brand. Her legacy continues to inspire, proving that passion and expertise transcend barriers.
